Army distributes relief among ill-fated people in Rangamagti

NEWS DESK: With the spirits of humanity in this harsh time of coronavirus outbreak worldwide, army from Rangamati region distributed relief among the ill-fated people in the hilly district town on Saturday.

Many people in the district headquarters have become jobless and confined due to ongoing ‘Lockdown’ to contain Covid-19 outbreak. From the humanitarian ground, some 200 ultra-poor families were given relief from the army’s spare ration in the Rangamati region headquarters.

At first relief was distributed among 100 people at the Rangamati government college campus. Relief packets were kept in a distance of three feet as part of maintaining physical distances to avoid possible coronavirus infection from each other. The recipients took away their relief packets from those spotted marked.
Later, army personnel also provided relief by going door to door of the helpless people at Public Health and Tribal Adam Lichubagan area. Relief packets contains 10 kg of rice, 5 kg of potato, 2 kg of flour, 2 kg of pulse, one litre edible oil, one kg onion, half kg of salt and a soap.
